DESCRIPTION:GIRLS DAY RETREAT\n“Learn\, Belong and Act: A Reflection on Islamic Identity and Palestinian Culture”.\n27th Oct 2024 (10am-6pm)\nWythenshawe Masjid \nAssalam Alykum WarhamatoAllah Wabaraktoh\, \nYouth-SHINE in collaboration with Wythenshawe Masjid are happy to present to you a Girls Retreat on 27th Oct 2024 from 10am to 6pm at Wythenshawe Masjid: \nWe hope to:\n✅Teach girls about the history of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque and what this means to our Islamic identity. \n✅Inspire girls to reflect upon their positive participation in society and act as proud confident citizens \n✅ Motivate and acquire teamwork and problem solving skills through activities and workshops provided. \nThe conference will run from 10 am-5 pm for girls ages 11-16 years old. It will include refreshments\, a Palestinian cuisine lunch and several exciting workshops and fun activities such as creating 3D Models of al Aqsa Complex\, Archery and Embroidery.\nIt will be followed by a Bazaar open for all from 5-6pm. We will be selling Palestinian artefacts at the Bazaar including food and embroidered items. \nRegistration deadline is Wednesday 23rd Oct 2024.
